Fog Bank, March 23, 2015 noted the arrival of a large Coronal Mass Ejection, and the resulting aurora

How about a double eclipse of the sun? As the eclipse of March 20 neared totality, a photographer caught the ISS transiting the sun as well. This is at Astronomy Picture of the Day had a link to a nice video of the March 20 eclipse

Great Aurora photo at APOD

Yet another Aurora photo - from Space, with a tweeted photo from NASA.
That page also had a great photo of M5-class eruption on the sun, captured from the Solar Dynamics Observatory.

Angela Fritz wrote at The Capital Weather Gang about the groundskeepers at Fenway Park and snow removal. They spread, by hand, two tons of black sand over the snow to help get it to melt faster and avoid damage that plowing or other removal methods might cause.
